Introducing
Sarah Rundle is the visionary in bringing Espadril to the USA. Sarah was born and raised in South Africa and is deeply passionate about its people, culture, and incredible entrepreneurial talent. After moving to Annapolis in 2016 to raise her own family, her dream was to bring awareness and support local South African trade in the US market. After buying and wearing the Espadril brand in South Africa and believing in the craft and quality of the product, she met with Rizqah and Patricia, the dynamic and creative founders behind the brand, and brought Espadril to the USA.

The "esparto" rope soles are made in Spain and brought to South Africa where with incredible artisanal skill, they are transformed by hand, into our unique range of espadrilles. Each pair of shoes sold, not only supports the men and women who handcrafted them, but also their families and communities. We are proud to preserve the art of the espadrille and are committed to providing you with a quality and unique shoe.

The Founders
Espadril was founded in Cape Town, South Africa by two passionate women, Rizqah and Patricia, who had the vision of bringing the Spanish art of making espadrilles to Africa. Espadril South Africa is made up of an incredible team of men and women who use their artisanal skills to produce our beautiful range of espadrilles.
